One Epic WordPress Theme
We are excited to finally introduce our latest WordPress theme, Epic. It is a church focused theme with a responsive design. Here’s a quick run-down of the highlights you can find in Epic.
Responsive
Epic is our first theme specifically for churches that is responsive. It’s layout will adjust to suit desktops, tablets and smartphones. We’re also using the awesome Masonry plugin for jQuery to make your widgets fit together nicely.
Options
To help you get the most out of Epic, we’ve created several options that you’ll find useful. The home page has three media layouts for you. One is static (no slideshow), but has a nice hover effect. The other two include a touch enable slideshow. One is full width, the other has a sidebar area for widgets next to the slider. The slides can use images or video and the image slides have support for captions and links.
You can bring your own background or use one of the 10 that are included. You can choose your own link color and accent colors. There is also a built in “dark” style that will change the main content areas and icons to suit those who’d prefer that style.
Podcasting
We’ve built in podcasting so you can easily create an archive of your messages and publish directly to iTunes. There is also a custom “Latest Podcast” widget that will display your most recent podcast in any of the widget areas in the theme. It’s a great way to draw in your visitors and connect them to your most recent content.
