It’s the End of the World as We Know It
April 20, 2009 by Bill Robbins
Admit it… The last nine months have been phenomenal in terms of earth-shaking, history-making events… Sometimes it feels as if the world is literally falling apart. That the systems and structures we’ve built our lives on are crumbling all around us.
What’s a guy or gal to do? What’s a mom or dad to do?
A guy who wrote a number of songs in the book of Psalms lived through a similar period in world history… The game was changing… The earth was shaking… Chaos was breaking… Things were getting totally out of whack and insane…
He got loads of advice from a group of well meaning friends and even some people who wanted to do him in. Both groups essentially said, “Get out of dodge. Head for the hills. Move to Montana. Join a militia. Build a bomb shelter. Stock up on non-perishables and wait for Jesus to come…”
Somehow this guy answered fear’s advice with an incrediblestatement of faith that’s recorded in the book of Psalms and provides great insight for people living in 2009.
Get a fresh glimpse of a God who isn’t “freaking out” or calling for an emergency meeting with the other members of the Trinity… He isn’t reaching for the medicine cabinet… He hasn’t panicked. He is in absolute and ultimate control. He is large and in charge. The big, $20, theological word is “SOVEREIGN.”
The message is “blue jeans, tennis shoes, white t-shirt” kind of stuff PRACTICAL – with an awe-inspiring view of the greatness and glory of our GREAT GOD.
Two item numbers are going to challenge you to keep believing- even if you’ve been“out in a cave, forty days…”

What if Christmas became a world-changing event again? Discover how you can “take Christmas back” in this important series.
Life In Technicolor
April 20, 2009 by Bill Robbins
RESET – Part 4
The book of Malachi hits with the force of a Pittsburg Steelers linebacker. You wake up feeling it the day after you read it. But the book ends with one of the most hope-filled promises in the entire Bible.
Tired of bad news, stock reports that read like an obituary column and a life that feels static, stuck and looks like monochrome instead of technicolor? In this message Chris shares the hope we have in Christ.
Malachi 4:2 (NLT), reads, “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.”
